Hi there I'm Mike from Stockport (south Manchester) GB
I am currently restoring a 1966 88" and I run a S3 Lightweight (1981), S3 LWB Safari (1981) and a Discovery S2 Metropolis TD5 (2002)
I am touring France for the whole of August with my family (my wife and three foster children) then hopefully in late September returning to France in my S3 Safri for the Bannegon event
Not really sure which direction to start out tour this year but I thought maybe start in the Loire Valley and move South after a week.. maybe the Dordogne etc..(municipall campsites only!! how else couldI afford to keep up my Land Rover habit!)
That's all for now..
Oh I'm a member of the Series 2 & Series 3 GB clubs

but don't expect less rainy weather .... right now it's raining like I don't know what .... in France we could say "like pissing cows" ... if you see what I mean  ...

Hoping the weather will be better during you're trip ... but remember, exactly as in UK, the weather is really strange nowadays.

How is it in South Manchester ?? At least, with a land rover, you're better equiped than those with a jaguar ...

MAybe august will be nice all around the FRance ...
