Hi Bruno P-G,
I
hope to be there this year

.
After two failed attempts, it will be third time lucky this year....I hope!!
We are planning to come over to France earlier in the week and visit the Normandy landing beaches, then across to Bannegon for the weekend.
Hopefully, we can to do a quick visit to Ypres and the WW1 sites on the way home.

Hey up! Mungo.
Well, I'm one of you, but I'm over here, and I'm going to Bannegon.
I'm gatecrashing as one of the 8 that Bruno mentions (the others obviously coming from UK, plus one from Holland), from the Old Leafsprung Land Rover forum/club thingy. Four of us are ploughing on to Morocco afterwards.
If you jump on their site and ask around you could convoy with them to the event.
Take it easy squire,

That's the best way to proceed: have plenty of time to visit, with a marvellous car
Actually, I don't know such a car to travel so beautifully...
Forms for Bannegon will be on line soon.

Hi Drew,
We are coming over to France early on the Tuesday previous, hoping to do a bit of a tour while we are there...
I spend a bit of time on the "Leafsprung" site as an onlooker, I will have to make myself known and see when the others are travelling, although I doubt our route and timing will match up.
We can always catch up at Bannegon for a pint or two

Bonjour!
That,s the only French i know!
I,m Mathieu(the one from Holland,Drew already mentioned)
I,m not that brave,as the 4 other lads from the Old Leafsprung Land Rover forum, who will go after the Bannegon event to Morocco, but Bannegon looks like great fun,so i,m coming too.
Last January i visited England for the first time in my life, after i was invited by the Old Leafsprung Forum members.
Cos there are almost no greenlanes in Holland,i had the greatest Land Rover weekend in my life, driving through Yorkshire,West Yorkshire and the Peak District.
If anyone here wants to go on the greenlanes in England, than these lads will show you the best places around!
See you all in Bannegon!

Hi Mathieu,:hello:
Look forward to meeting you.
I toured Holland with my family for our main holiday last year, lovely country, lovely people, enjoyed it very much...Apart from the rain

We are coming back this July/August for another go.

Hey,Mungo
The rain is what Holland is famous for!
Before i went to England,i packed lots of clothes,in case when England made it,s reputation also true, but most of the times it stayed dry
Are you also on the Series 2 forum, cos i,ve understand that some of them also wanted to come to Bannegon.
When your in Holland your always welcome to visit.
I live about 30 miles above Amsterdam.
See you in Bannegon!
Greetings,Mathieu

Hi Mathieu,
We are going to tour round for a few days and then stay in Woerdon for a week before heading down to Belgium for a final few days.
I though Holland was famous for windmills and cheese, no one mentioned the rain to us
I think the weather is much the same as here, when its wet it stays wet
Keep your eye out for a red Disco V8, I will give you a wave

A friend of mine, looked for me on his GPS where Bannegon is,and saw that there are 2 places that are called Bannegon in France.
Someone here must know which one is where Le bal des Series is held.
